What will 2008 bring for us?

As we watch 2007 come to an end I wonder what 2008 will bring. It will mark several milestones for us.
I am currently working on my 25 year class reunion and in November JW and I will celebrate 25 years of marriage. Our tentative plans are for a celebration with family and friends.
The new year will bring Naaman's high school graduation. How time has flown. One of my memories is that one time when Naam was very small and was wearing a 'big boy' tie for the first time, he needed a tie tack. In a desperate search I found a graduation pin that belonged to JW with the year 80 on it. I did some quick math and found that Naam would graduate in 08 so we turned the pin upside down. At that point I could not imagine even writing the year 2000 and 2008 seemed even further away and unreachable. How fast those years ticked away. In just a few months he will reach one of many goals.
In 2008 I hope to see Madison and Staley return to school to pursue their goals. With God's help and guidance, it will happen. I look forward to another season with Lifetouch and we all are looking forward to what it holds for the UP.
Check back later for holiday photos.

Spring '08

Spring brings lots of new things at the Storys. There's the usual new animal. This year it's our little bushy tail baby, Myrtle.

Naaman and Emily went to prom on April 26th. It was at Dennis Vineyard in Endy. Naam's suit was a re-creation of the Beatles' uniforms from their Sgt. Pepper's album. Emily was beautiful, as usual, in a pretty purple dress and some awesome blue shoes. They each carried a part of their grandmother's with them. Emily wore beautiful 'jewels' that came from her 'Mimi' and every stitch of Naam's coat was placed with a memory of me learning to sew from my grandmother and my mother (aka...Gee). They had a great time.

Time is drawing near for Naam to make that most important walk across the stage that he's practically grown up on. On June 6th he'll graduate from Albemarle. You go, Naam!!! It's been a great ride and we've loved every mile of it!!!

We finished up the UP spring production of 'To Kill A Mockingbird' in March. It was a wonderful production!! Madison played Mayella Ewell. The whole cast and crew did a great job.

Staley's staying busy with work and we are happy to welcome her new boyfriend, JR, into the Story craziness.

JW and I are just stayin' busy with work. My spring season with LPP finishes at the end of May. It's gone by fast!! I have the BEST job in the world!!!

We're all looking forward to the summer and the UP's production of 'Children of Eden' coming up in July.
